Consistency
Why is consistency such an important element of leadership when a leader is consistent?
They provide a level of comfort and certainty.
Yes. It's about making people feel safe.
There's nothing worse than that Boss comes flying in
and is maybe mad or upset, and you don't know what's going on with them.
And, of course, we humans, right, we all have good days
and bad days but being consistent with your
team and the way in which you approach issues
and situations
is important to creating that safe psychological environment.
Be consistent with who you are.
If authentic leadership is all about being in alignment with your values,
then being consistent with your behavior around
those values give that sense of certainty to the team.
